I'd be an emotional anxious wreck so it's amazing that you can handle it haha no job is small so take pride in what you do! Also it was mean for your old school mate to use 'finally' in that sentence.Im bac wif my sullen face typing my blog entry agn. I'm the same age and work a low paying boring office job and I have pretty bad social anxiety and I knew that I could never ever handle a fast food job. Please see that for what it is and don't put yourself down for it. Just the fact that you were able to not only get a job but maintain it for over a year shows how far you have come and how much progress you've made. It doesn't matter when you started working as long you started is all that matters. Also it takes a lot of guts to go out and get a job so be proud that you've held one for over a year. Stay in your own lane because your life is the only one you will live and it's the only one that is worth anything to you. Never compare yourself to another person's life. I'll always be either too scared or too stupid to change.

things will probably never get any better. I don't even know what I'm still doing here. and if they don't I'm too socially awkward to maintain a conversation. I haven't had any friends in over 12 years. I mess up sooo much I don't even know why my boss keeps me around. I'm too stupid, too scared and too worthless.

most of them probably are working full time, probably went to college and managed to graduate (unlike me.), most of them probably all have friends. It just got me thinking I wonder where everyone else is in life right now. So it's not like they didn't have a point. I'm 26 and have worked there for a little over a year and it is my first ever job. (I work part-time in a fast food place) I don't know if they were trying to be mean or sincere, either way it made me feel bad. I ran into an old school mate from elementary school yesterday at work and they congratulated me on 'finally' getting a job.
